ARTIST STATEMENT
Art is the continual expansion of the mind and soul to the highest reaches of creativity. Where artist and viewer become one with the energy of the artwork.

Art is the expression of life

My artwork represents the continual battle within men’s souls between industrialism and nature. In one piece the realistic reflection of nature. Then bursting forth in another creation to become an abstract expression of emotions and passion.

do not limit the medium in which I work and create. Each idea dictates to me how it will be created and with what materials. Though I have done works in oil painting, pen and ink, and pencil, I am currently working in metal, stained glass and cement. Each new creation challenges my creativity and skill

Arlene Wilkinson - Download brochure

I have always had a great love for art in many forms. I have oil painted, made pottery of ceramic, porcelain, and stoneware. I even make my own soap and lotions. I have worked with many different forms of art and still do. But I have always had a love for glass.

After working as a respiratory therapist for may years, I chose to start my business and follow my passion for art. I enjoy the challenges of working with glass and love to help design different glass creations for clients with a passion for original art and fit it into a new or existing environment.

I was born in Marlette Michigan, and even when I married, I only moved next door. Being a farmers daughter gives me great appreciation for the life, family and friends god has given us. For without the love and support of my husband, our son, daughter and five grandchildren, the dream of my own glass studio would of never came true.
